St-Laurent plasma plant to create 200 jobs, South Korea’s Green Cross says – Montreal Gazette

A project initially hailed as one of the largest life-sciences investments in a decade in Montreal is now even bigger.
At the official groundbreaking Monday for the new Green Cross Biotherapeutics Inc. plant in the St-Laurent technoparc, the tab of its North American headquarters was pegged at about $275 million, up $100 million from a year ago when it was announced.

The plant, due to reach commercial production by 2019, will process one million litres of plasma a year.
